Description: Mentor Iowa participants will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the broadway musical “CATS” at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines. Match pairs will receive a ticket to see the 2 pm showing of CATS.

Description: Mentor Iowa participants will watch the Iowa Wolves take the court at Wells Fargo Arena. All participants will receive a ticket to the game, meal stipend and souvenir.

Iowa Wild hockey game
Time: 7 pm start
Description: Mentor Iowa participants will head off to Wells Fargo Arena to watch the Iowa Wild take the ice versus the Grand Rapids Griffins. All participants will receive a ticket to the game, meal stipend and souvenir. This game will include a stadium give-away which will be a Joe Hicketts bobblehead.

Back to School Bash (Toad Valley Golf Course)

Description: Mentor Iowa mentees and their siblings will receive backpacks full of school supplies to start the school year off on the right foot. We also will enjoy a round of mini-golf and a hot dog lunch. Other interactive games will be played after mini-golf.

Howell’s Pumpkin Patch

Description: We will go to Howell’s Pumpkin Patch in Cumming, Iowa. Participants will be able to attend the farm for free, pick out their own pumpkin and receive a meal stipend.

Description: Mentor Iowa participants will have the opportunity to bowl at Air Lanes in Des Moines for 2 hours. We will be a part of their disco glow bowling. Mentor Iowa will also provide pizza and beverages for everyone to enjoy.

Description: Mentor Iowa participants will enjoy a festive holiday party full of interactive games for everyone to enjoy. A meal will be provided by the Johnston Kiwanis. Santa will arrive to distribute all of the adopt a family gifts to the children.
